چکیده
Continuous general anesthesia is able to exert an influence on the related molecules expression in central nervous system. In this study, we established a short time isoflurane inhalation SD rat model to explore the effect of isoflurane on regulating the relative genes expression in hippocampus. Ten-week male SD rats were anesthesia inducted for 30min. We obtained rat hippocampus tissues after anaesthesia on 1st and 3rd day, then reversed transcription of 18 gene expressions before PCR detection. We found that isoflurane could upregulate 6 kinds of gene under different circumstances, Hspd1, Plat, Npr3 were upregulated 1.7 ± 0.2 fold, 1.37 ± 0.1 fold, 1.4 ± 0.2 fold respectively in 1 day after anaesthesia, Thbs4 was upregulated 1.8 ± 0.25 fold in 3 day after anaesthesia and Syp and Mgst1 were upregulated 1.65 ± 0.1 fold and 1.4 ± 0.1 fold in 1d, also upregulated 1.5 ± 0.1 fold and 1.48 ± 0.1 fold in 2 d. Our study showed that isoflurane inhalation anesthesia could upregulate the related gene expression of rat hippocampus, which could influence subsequent expression of the relevant molecular level and the corresponding effect would last for at least 3 days. All these above could provide the basis for clinical

THE EFFECT OF ENDURANCE TRAINING ON GENE EXPRESSION OF NERVE AND FIBROBLAST GROWTH FACTORS IN THE HIPPOCAMPUS OF RATS AFTER BRAIN STROKE
Background & Aims: Neurotrophic and growth factors are known to have positive effects on neuronal proliferation. However, findings on the effects of exercise training on these factors following brain stroke are limited. Thus, the aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of endurance training on gene expression of nerve growth factor (NGF) and fibroblast growth factor (FGF) in the ...
متن کاملThe Effect of Resistance Training and Berberine Chloride on the Apoptosis-Related Unfolded Protein Response Signaling Pathway in the Hippocampus of Diazinon-Poisoned Rats
Introduction: Diazinon is one of the most widely-used organophosphate pesticides in the world. This toxin enters the body in various ways and induces oxidative stress in various tissues. It has been proved that activation of unfolded protein response (UPR) under oxidative stress is a steady mechanism for maintaining cell function and survival. Therefore, the present study aimed to review the ef...

3,4- Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA or "Ecstasy") is a psychoactive and hallucinogenic drug of abuse. MDMA has been shown to produce neurotoxicity both in animals and humans. Recently, the vasodilator drugs such as pentoxifylline is one of the new strategies which have been considered as neuroprotector. In this study effect of pentoxifylline on bcl-2 gene expression changes in hippocampus ...
متن کاملThe Effect of Pentoxifylline on bcl-2 Gene Expression Changes in Hippocampus after Ischemia-Reperfusion in Wistar Rats by a Quatitative RT-PCR Method
Ischemia-reperfusion injury is the tissue damage caused when blood supply returns to the tissue after a period of ischemia or lack of oxygen. Ischemia-reperfusion brain injury initiates an inflammatory response involving the expression of adhesion molecules and cytokines. Twenty–four male Wistar rats (250-300 g body wt) were used in this study. The animals were divided into four groups of 6 rat...
